"Why would you shut down the government over an immigration issue that has nothing to do with funding?"
House Ways and Means Committee part Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) said Democrats are depending on the "Gruber impact" to get the general population to reprimand Republicans for the shutdown.
In an evident reference to the engineer of ObamaCare, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Professor Jonathan Gruber, Kelly said Democrats are trusting voters "won't comprehend the issue."
After the usage of ObamaCare, Gruber was gotten on tape saying that the section of the law relied upon the "absence of monetary comprehension" and "idiocy of the American voter."
