Trump Supporter Ed Martin Is Out as a CNN Contributor

Hollywood Reporter is reporting that former Missouri Republican Party chairman and all-around controversy magnet Ed Martin is no longer President Donald Trump's go-to defender on CNN. 

The website says CNN has confirmed that Martin is out, without further detail. But it notes that he hasn't appeared on the network since mid-December, when he said on his radio show that his fellow panelists during one CNN show were "black racists."

The Post-Dispatch earlier didn't get a response from CNN when asking about Martin's status. Martin himself told the newspaper earlier this week that his absence from the network lately was only because he'd been busy working on a new book.
