Meteor Hits Michigan's night sky before making a "big boom"

 Residents of several cities in the state of Michigan (northeastern United States) saw a brilliant object of all colors pass through the sky before hearing an explosion. The US Department of Homeland Security confirmed that it was a meteorite. Many videos taken in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday by surveillance cameras and dashcams in the Detroit area show a bright passage of an object in the sky that transformed for a few moments the night into a day.
Several Michigan residents have reported on social media that they heard an explosion after the light object passed through.
If some were convinced that it was a meteorite, others claimed that the phenomenon was caused by something more mysterious.
