CNN’s Toobin: ‘If We Were Functioning On Planet Earth’ The DOJ Would Investigate Trump Campaign’s Porn Star Payouts


CNN's Jeffrey Toobin on Monday conveyed a genuinely necessary rude awakening about Donald Trump's attorney's asserted installment to porn star Stormy Daniels, clarifying that "on the off chance that we were working on planet Earth," the Department of Justice would explore those detailed arrangements.

The Wall Street Journal a week ago detailed that the president's legal counselor, Michael Cohen, paid Daniels—whose genuine name is Stephanie Gregory Clifford—$130,000 in October 2016 in return for her quiet around an undertaking amongst herself and Trump. The guard dog bunch Common Cause on Monday documented an objection against the Trump battle over the affirmed payout. 


CNN's Wolf Blitzer thought about whether those gathering have a case.



“If we were functioning on planet Earth, for example, I think this would be taken very seriously,” Toobin said. “Because why else would you give Stormy Daniels, for all her wonderful talent, $130,000? The only reason is to keep her quiet during the campaign. That is a campaign contribution.”
